My first blog post?

A few days ago I posted on TikTok that I tend to ramble so much, that I will be starting a blog soon...

Taa-Daa! Here we are!

When I went to make this post, I was just rambling and erasing, rambling & erasing. It was a constant cycle, that honestly took hours for me to decide to finally post.  Health is a bit of a touchy subject for some, and I do not want to seem like I know everything about anyone's health (including my own)

With my personal progress, it has been a DOOZY. I've always had issues with my allergies specifically, but after having a baby and losing my dad unexpectedly within the same year is a lot to process. There was a lot that went on in 2019 besides those two; however, those are what I believe took the most toll on both my physical & mental health.  Then Covid hit just a couple months later.

From there on it was a battle between taking medication that I needed to help me vs the illness I would get when I would take them. The medication was just antibiotics.  I have had reactions to certain ones when I was a kid, but not to this extent. Then, it was hives or just throwing up the dosage I had just taken. This was different.

I would be so sick that I couldn't walk, talk, eat, sleep, focus...anything.

Around the 3rd or 4th dosage of the meds, I would not be able to keep anything down. Doctors didn't believe me, then they said it was the types of infections I would have causing the issues, then it was back to, "No clue...sorry. You seem fine to me. These meds don't do that."

Swollen lymph nodes in my throat/neck. I could not lay down or even touch my neck.

Throwing up all day and all night, even without anything on my stomach.

   Extremely Exhausted

Fever + Chills + Body Aches

   Face + Neck swelling

One of the last times I delt with this reaction, I had lost 10lbs in a couple of days from being so sick.  All of that while dealing with the initial reason I needed antibiotics.

When I finally thought I had figured out a lead or a form of answer to this problem, I suspected DRESS syndrome or something similar, it was a big no. Why was it a no? Because regardless of me having all the other symptoms, I didn't have a rash. & if I did, it was marked up to busted blood vessels from vomiting so hard, or my eczema.

Then later in the year, after that last reaction, I ended up with either pneumonia or covid. My oxygen was in the mid 80's, I couldn't eat, drink, sleep, or even breathe hardly anymore. I say either pneumonia or covid because I refused to go back to the doctor just to be dismissed again. I had no one to watch my kiddo, my husband had to go to work, and it was just up to me at that time. I had experience on how to treat pneumonia & covid, so I called a telehealth doctor, got the steroids I needed, used my nebulizer, drank tea & worked through it. ( I do not reccommend, please see your doctors when you are sick)

At this point, it's about December of 2023

My main doctor got me into an allergist, which at this point in time has helped a good bit. I still randomly have the reactions with the antibiotics, but thanks to getting my life back some because of the allergist & my shift in mentality.
